I kinda wish I had an Oxygen system in mine. Flying around out here in the west sometimes gets a bit high. I guess it is so seldom that I can live without it however.
I have often thought I would like to try it just to see how it affected the the old body and the fatigue factor after a long flight where part of it was at 14,400 ft. like I did last year on the way to Clinton in the mountains of Colo.
And an item of some small interest. Just today I was talking to a guy who lives here in Roosevelt, Utah and the subject of flying came up. He informed me that his dad had a 150 Aerobat that he restored even down to a freshly overhauled engine (100HP) and then his dad passed away.
He says the airplane has been stored in a barn up in Oregon for the last three years.
He said that the insurance was too high (I didn't ask him what the ins. cost was) so he was just leaving it there.
Claims he isn't interested in selling it at this time but promised me he would let me know if he decides to sell it.
If so I will pass on the info here on the forum and someone could check it out.
I would not be interested in it as I love my 150/150.
