Dear interesting members:

I need some help, I am currently getting my Private Pilot License and I am enjoying all of the multiple experiences that comes with the territory.

I live in Grants Pass, Oregon and I located a 1964 Cessna 150 in Kalispell, Montana. Over the phone we, the seller and myself, committed to a price tag so I drove to get it with CASH on hand as well as with a plan to bring my new/used airplane home. The airplane was what I expected, I flown the airplane with an instructor and when was time to finish the deal, the price changed big time as well some others. The deal then turned political SOUR as I faced an uncomfortable situation with the club officer that DO NOT HAVE ANY AUTHORITY OF NEGOTIATED THE PRICE IN THE FIRST PLACE! I came back empty however, thinking on the positive experiences that my 3080 miles trip provided me. I learn a whole lot and part of that is that in order for me to buy an airplane it is a MUST TO HAVE sincerity, honesty and integrity otherwise it will be a NO-GO.

So, in my way back I found another airplane in Salem, Oregon (closed from home), a 1969 Cessna 150G, I went to see it, I like it both, the airplane and the stories that the seller and a friend told me about it. We again made a commitment, agree to a price tag and went home to get the CASH money. When I went to pick-up my new/used airplane, SUDDENLY and by a mystery the radio don't work as well as the vacuum system and gyro, the flap electrical switch and other switches so the seller explained me that although the price tag remained the same. I came back with the cash money.

NOW... I found another airplane in Bismark, Missouri, a 1967 Cessna 150J, and with the little knowledge and experience that I am acquiring, I told the seller that Sincerity, Honesty and Integrity will be the basics to buy me an airplane. I have felt that this individual owner/pilot is conducting himself with those basic principals and due to that, I have firmed a price tag and he is holding the airplane under Gentlemen Agreement. Ironically he left his town to California to check out a Mooney model that he is planning to buy while I am in the west coast buying his airplane in Missouri.

Therefore and although I have from the seller the right vibes and a good spirit is looking over this buying from me, I would like to know if out there is some one that can be my GODFATHER, BUYING-BODY, MENTOR and willing to go and check out the airplane for me.

By the way and doing my home work I have line up insurance and an instructor that is willing to fly over with me on commercial and back with my airplane. If everything is fine it will happens by the middle of next month, December 15.

I would like to add that the seller have send me multiple pictures of the airplane as well as copies of the log book entries from the last annual and those I can share with any willing volunteer out there that can help me out. What goes around comes around!!!

For your information the specifics of this airplane are: 2265TT, 634SMOH, 18STOH w/ Superior cylinders. Val com, Cessna Txpdr, Sigtronics intercom, Garmin Pilot III GPS, LONG RANGE TANKS, CHILDS REAR SEAT, NDH •

I hope that out there is some one interesting to help me out in this historical time of my life as I am getting my Private Pilot License along with my own airplane.
