Sounds like a wonderful cross country and a chance to get to know a new plane. You could have some lobster, sightsee the Northeast, fly the VFR corridor down the Hudson River past Manhattan, and see a Broadway play before turning Southwest. Pick up the Ohio river in Eastern Ohio and follow it to the Mississippi. Stop at Branson for the night, next day you're home.
