The paint is quite a bit more faded than shown in the photo. It sits on the ramp and until recently was flown extensively as a trainer at (among other places) Magnum Aviation in San Martin, CA. Not severe weather, just a lot of sun.

Very plain, basic panel and avionics.

If I hadn't already sunk a bunch of money into my plane, I would love to have made this my "project plane." If anyone needs more info and would like more current photos, let me know.

Well, here's your chance. $28K or so is the going price, and MORE!
Out of the 30 billion 150/152's made (ok-thousand) only about 700 and something were AEROBATS, and out of those....how many still exist after 35 years?
Compare this price to a Citabria, the closest comparable aerobatic plane- you can't touch a good Citabria for less than around $70K and up ( unless the engine is high time, the fabric old, and it still has wood spars).

So a suggestion on how to buy an Aerobat......Go to the owners before they list.
I downloaded the FAA registry for 152 Aerobats and merged into a letter which identified my interest as a cash buyer and not a broker. I received several responses and negotiated the price........

The FAA has 336 150 152 aerobats currently registered. New and or new registrations are recorded nightly.

Still rare.
How many of the 336 are not really airworthy?, then you can add the airframes not registered but in various states of repair/disrepair.
Then those in foreign countries....
At least one in the Smithsonian that probably will never fly again.....

Hey Cessna,....
Now that the Skycatcher fell on it's ass, why not resume 152 production???...and only make Aerobats!

Good idea's on how to get an aerobat. I will have to sell my 150 before , or find some one to trade plus $$.
